went to black pond in meriden yesterday morning to take my boat out for the first time. blew it up and everything was ready to go. got it in the water and noticed there was a leak. brought it to my friends and he patched it up.
tried for the second time today to take it out. jlaz and i ended up getting on the water for about 2hrs. went to one end and drifted back. a few hits to start but nothing big and nothing was getting hooked.
about 45mins later we started getting more hits from pickerals aka "slime darts" (rookie). nothing big. jlaz caught one on a zara spook thatwas about half the size of the spook.
ended the day with about 7 picks between the two of us. got to shore just in time for the rain so we packed up and left. |

Nice job with the slime darts djmon.  There are bass in there but a small pond like that gets pretty hammered easily. Hope you have better luck next time there.
