Fished the WET tourney at Lower Moodus with fellow BAWS member Matt. Water was stained and ranged from 62-65 degrees. There was a pretty stiff breeze blowing down the lake. There was 10 boats or more, never got a full count. We ended up in 3rd place with 9.22 lbs for 5 fish. Good enough to win our money back plus a little more. 1st place was just under 11lbs. We just missed out on lunker too (4.48 vs. 4.84). We caught our fish on 4-inch worms, senkos and a secret weapon.

My secret weapon is just a modifcation to a production lure . . . I knew it should catch fish and I'm glad I was able to get a nice one on it last night. As for beds, think we saw a few empty ones, but that was it. I talked to a buddy who fished Upper last night and did very well. Said there were beds everywhere but nothing on 'em.

| i was there today on the lower, i saw beds everywhere but were empty. |
