We had our 2nd outing this season at Amos Lake yesterday.
Conditions
Cloudy with drizzle and periods of rain in the morning, some sun in the afternoon
water temps were 51 to 53 degrees
Winds were calm in the morning, and 10 mph once the storm front went through
1st place with 4 fish went 8lbs. 2 ounces
2nd place with 4 fish went 7lbs. 15 ounces
3rd place was yours truly with 2 fish for 5lbs. 14 ounces, and also caught Lunker for the day, it was 3lb. 11 ounce largemouth.
Fish were caught on all kinds of baits drop shots, jigs, rattletraps, tubes, grubs, worms, swimbaits etc.
This was my sons first tournament ever, and we had a great time. Our fish were caught on a smoke grub, drop shot worm, and a tube. The 4lb. plus that my son lost at the boat was caught on a tube. The reason he got away, was a broken hook, a Diachi x point, brand new out of the package.
All in all a tough day, only 1 boat came in empty, all other boats weighted in fish. Very slow bite, many pickeral, 1 trout, and plenty of short bass caught. _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |

Thanks skeeter jim.
The hooks are already in the trash. I'm not going to take a chance that the whole package is bad. _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |
