first off anyone have reviews on shimano citica bait casters and shimano symetre spinning reels?
next i have looked at posts to my questions in the past regarding company choices along with speaking to people in stores or on the water and it seems to come down to two brands that stand out. shimano and daiwa. does anyone else feel this way? if so i would like some feedback on reliable reels from each company. |

I have all shimano reels and the symetre gives me more bang for the buck, even over stradic. My next rig will be a symetre. _________________ Fishermen will change the future. |

As far as spinning reels go I have 4 Symetre's and one Wave Spin. The Symetre's are great reels and I have had no issues at all with them. The Wave Spin is just as good if not better for less money. _________________ The TACKLE HUT - American Made products

In my opinion they are the two best brands and I prefer Shimano although I believe Daiwa's are lighter by weight.
I have 7 Symetres and love them.
I have a couple of scorpions.
The rest at Curados (old anew styles - 4) and Citicas (2) and one Chornarch MG.
I get them cleaned every year or two depending upon use and they work good as new.
I doubt you'll go wrong with either manufacturer's products.

symetre is a great reel. although my next kistler spinning rod will be getting a tierra. the baitcasting reels are great. although they are heavy unless you are getting the 100 series wich shaves off 2oz. i like the abu garcia revo s reel. i think it is smoother than my citicas and an oz lighter. give them a look |
