Rookie,

I was a typically tough day after a good rain on the Housey. I went into the cove for only a few minutes. Didn't really expect much there. I did see how the water temp was a good 5 degrees warmer than the main river.

There was so much junk in the water that it was hard to even read the finder, even in 20' of water and even when I was pretty sure I marked fish, holding on that spot to fish it was too tough. So, instead we just focused on some winding and chucking on some areas off / outside the normal spawning sites to see if we could get an early prespawner.

Housey's tought most times but yesterdays conditions were brutal. I was a beautiful day though and I don't know about you but I got one heck of a sun/wind burn.

I found an area loaded with fish on the bottom. Just up a little from where you saw us, on the other side. I actualy had a fish jump 30 feet from my boat up farther, threw my jig at it, thought i had a bite but wasnt sure. Pulled the jig up and my jig was messed up Sad
