I've had Jay out on the Housy with me and he's more than capable of taking home the big prize! Don't let him fool you. He's one very good angler. |

Jay;
I'm not the best to ask to be honest about the launch fee becase I buy the annual sticker. It may be a tougth fishery, but it's 10 minutes away! So I fish it a lot.
But Rookie's on the right track for this time of year. Once the park officially opens, which I beleive is Memorial Day the park starts charging. The boat ramp is open April 1st so you get about a month's use without being charged. Same is true at the end of the season after Labor Day I believe.

Yeah,..I'm pretty sure that when I set up the date, it was for when they would not be charging,...
Walt do you know how this affects the 8AM time for the park to open? Can we get in earlier if they're not collecting money? _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

They are notoriously BAD at getting the park opened on time in April. Usually it's not such a big deal for me because the morning bite isn't usually as good as the later bite this time of year.
But if you want an earlier start or even just to make sure the gate is opened on time, you should call the park ranger. I'll have to look up his number.
I got there once at 8:00 and after repeated calls we got someone to the gate to open it a little after 9:00.
The ranger oversees Osbornedale State Park as well. If I remember right his name is Joe. The phone number for Osbornedale is 735-4311. |

I don't know Walt; your avatar looks pretty good and you know the when the bite is good. I still say you and Ryan have the inside track on this. _________________ The TACKLE HUT - American Made products
