Well, we had 8 boats and 16 hearty participants for the first CTFT tourney of 2008. Luckily the temps weren't quite as cold as predicted, however most folks found the fishing extremely tough with the windy, cold-front conditions.
Only 1 boat managed multiple fish and 3 boats zero'd on the day! Congrats to the winners,..here's the results:
1) Mike Rez & Kidbass 3 fish / 7.42 lbs
2) Senkobandit & Fishbait 1 fish / 2.34
3) Mike & Jud 1 fish / 2.29
4) Chuck & Jester 1 fish / 1.61
5) BobF & Lundrunner 1 fish / 1.42 _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."

Thanks for hosting Mark.
Had a good time. It was my first time out this year. Just glad to kick off the season at this point and start getting the cobwebs out.
See you on the Housy in a couple of weeks.

I love catching fish when I am not even there!!!! Chuck what did I get that one on? LOL
It was tough all around this weekend. Candlewood sucked today for me. I left before the weigh in so I am wondering if anyone caught fish this weekend at all! _________________ GET HOOKED! tm |

Mike:
Thanks for sharing your lure and technique. I pitched a blue black jig a bunch at the few blowdowns and such with no takers....Were you fishing submerged wood offshore or visible wood near shore?
trying to learn from my many mistakes on saturday.....

Thanks for organizing this Mark. I went two weeks ago and we hooked three, but only landed two on jerkbaits in 4 hours so I thought I knew how to at least catch a limit for the tourney, but the jerkbait did not work except to catch pickerel. Water temps did not rise at all during that two week stretch, that certainly didn't help the fishing. |

Brennan: any time.
we cought 11 fish saturday. 10 of them were on submerged wood on a offshore hump. we fished a 50 yard stretch all day long. only 1 fish on a blowdown but on the end of it in 8 foot of water.
if your fishing its not a mistake!!!!!!!!! |

I missed one in a brushy blowdown. Hit it and took off, set the hook in the direction she was running.\\\Only hit all day besides marks beasty pickerel.
Rough day.
Went out right after and caught 2 3's. Went out yesterday and hit a 3 and a pair of 2's. |
