Ok, I SAW A FISH TODAY!!!! THEY'R ALIVE
Ive been hitting Mondo pond in milford for an hour here, half an hour there. I live a mile away
Have not caught anything. Have not had any nibbles. Have not caught anything, not even any nibbles, not even any teases...... NOTHING ..... UNTIL TODAY
I went PASSED my usual starting spot and onto another area i usualy try every few visits.
I chatted with a trail walked for only a few seconds about how there is no fish. Then, i move to the edge of the water and Wohaaa.
WAIT< there are fish in here. He came over and looked. We saw the FISH !!!!
Ive thrown a spider jig the last couple times. I dragged it to the fish, miscalculated and hit it in the mid section and it took off.
WHATEVER !!!!!!!!! Be like that
It was in a corner pool about 5 feet deep and only 15 feet from shore.
WHAT was this fish doing? Checking out spawn areas ALREADY?
I kept seeing the fish. Kept running my spider jig thru the area where the fish was hanging, but wouldnt bite ......... so i said "BITE ME, FISH" and went on trying a few spots before leaving after maybe 45 minutes of a chilly breeze over the water.
Seems as though im always on the sh!t end of the breeze too !!!
Did i mention, didnt catch anything AGAIN?
Now get out of here! Go! Scram! Go read a real report _________________ Thar aint NO fish in here !!!!!!!! |

I know how you feel, I was out at a local pond on Friday (during gale force winds) fishing from shore and saw 3 lmb circling in the area I was fishing. I threw everything in my tackle box for 2 hours and got skunked. They would follow the bait and touch it with their lips but wouldn't bite(kind of like an ex gf).
what seems to be the normal time period when bass spawn? I know it varies hugely but under normal CT conditions - Mid to end of May? _________________ Sorry honey, looks like we will be late again due to motor problems.

It depends on water temps, everywhere. If i remember correctly, 63 degrees. But there is a long way to go before the actual spawns. Im betting these fish are just moving around and staking bedding areas. Maybe waiting for mates
I just dont get it. If there are bass moving up and around shore, there HAS to be some others out there willing to bite or chase something.
I think next time i go there, i might try throwing some suspending pointers. Just hope i dont lose them _________________ Thar aint NO fish in here !!!!!!!! |
