Well folks, it looks like winter has arrived. Daytime temps will continue to stay in the 30s with a few days getting into the lower 40s. Overnight lows with be in the 20s mostly with a few being in the 30s.
I don't think this is the same thing we saw for 2 weeks in November. I think this is winter saying hi and the mild wet weather saying bye. |

Just finished researching on Google the January outlook and jet stream pattern.
Short term is there will only be a brief period of mild wet weather in the middle of January. January will be a Greenland Block month for us.
Long term is as we get into February, there's a chance for a big snow event that will lead to a big change in the jet stream, bringing mild wet weather in March similar to that rain and snow event we had a few years ago that led to flooding and very high water levels. |
