Nooby,
Easy there kid -> Your asking way way too early! -> It all depends on the WX -> We need a good run of at least 3 cold days to firm up old ice and build new ice.
Just be thankful you got to get out on the ice ....even if it's for 1 day this year!
And it was a very good day for you ! 
I understand your excitement -> But SAFETY is priority what with the ice in a melting condition!

actually i hunt pheasant and turkey also but ice fishing is the best! doing some open water fishing today in southern ct!!! mabey next weekend will hit winchester again the fishing was the best yesterday saw alot of people getting flags !  |

| hey seadog i think winchester will have ice for a while i dont think i really lucked out.I plan on going out next weekend too. Also did anybody fish winchester today and howd you do? |

me and a buddy went out their today got there about 11ish and left at 2 and we got the big skunk we were about 200 feet out right in front of the launch i mite go back next weekend try my luck again if it safe but who know's

I fished in the first cove today. Although I found 7-1/2 inches of ice right on the shore in the shade of the south side, there was some open water right on the shore in the sun on the north side and only 3-1/2 inches of ice about 20 feet from the shore.
