Surprise great weather! - Partly sunny, reaching mid to upper 70’s.

Launched from the campground area around 11:00am and worked our way counter clock wise (except the northern cove). Hitting most structures including down trees limbs and whatever clump of pads we could find. In total, we boated 1 pickerel and about 9 LMB – all shorts with the biggest LMB at only 1.7 lbs. Used combo of buzz baits, frogs, and senkos - most were caught using 5” wacky rigged senkos .

My first newbie post – Hopefully my future posts get better !

Welcome aboard, I'm kind of a newbie here also. Williams looks like a good bass lake, do you have to pay to launch at the campground (a bass boat)?
Thanks and keep posting.

Thanks for the welcome hila2006. A friend had a campsite and took care of us getting in. I believe there must be a fee for the campground launch as the area can only be accessed via a gate & you must register at the front office to gain admittance and a parking pass.

Here's some information from the web:

Access is by via a private boat launch or through the Lake Williams Campground located on Route 207 (http://www.ct.gov/caes/cwp/view.asp?a=2799&q=453642)
