while we all thank 'the management' for sponsoring a CT-based online fishing forum, some of us are interested in knowing who is actually responsible for the site (and not just screen names) Question Question

the last time I stumbled onto a CT-based site it crashed & burned before I really got involved (still have some cool bassin' articles from it, tho)

I decided to start this a few days ago. Reasons for starting this are simple. I wanted a free place to discuss fishing with others.
I was upset that the forum I use to be a part of went subscription based.
I am a firm believer that messege boards should be free to members.
I am a small business owner who enjoys fishing and I live in the NW corner of CT. When you refer to other forums "crashing and burning" is this due to lack of content or they just take it off line?

I'm not trying to make trouble. The site I'm referring to was called 'soundfishing.com' and was run by the owner of The Sportsmen's Den in Cos Cob. It had a lot of informative articles by guys like Stu Adams, Dick Alley, and Peter Kane. I don't know why Mike took it off line.

As noreast.com members know I'm old-fashioned and prefer dealing with 'real' people who share more than a screen name with others.

In my view, sites on which members are anonymous degrade faster than sites populated by real people.

Very soon

The striper run is about to explode in full force at the Race area.

I wanted to go this weekend at take a shot at fluke in Greeport NY...family priorities got in the way so I'll have to settle with a dream....well I might dunk the boat on the Candlewood lake and go for a cruise after all.
