Hi Phil,
Yes I have made it, but I used a big fat Pickerel !
It is as good or better then pickled Herring.
Give it a try. |

While I was fishing the Pequonnock one day this past fall I caught a legal chain pickerel that got damaged from taking the lure so I brought it home and baked the meat. It was DELICIOUS!!!!!!
First time I ever tried pickerel and have heard pickerel are better eating than pike, even though pike are still good. |
