Djmon and I had plans to hit Black pond early on Saturday, but the weather wasnt looking good, so went back to bed and decided to see what it looked like when i woke up. Got over to the res around noon or so, the sun was starting to break through a little bit and it was probably around 60 degrees i think??
Anyway, I started off skip casting a wacky rigged watermelon colored senko under some hanging trees and some other logs. Picked up this guy shown below that went 2.5lb on the scale. I wouldnt normally post one that weighed 2.5 but the thing was really short and had a big gut. Im glad to see it since all the larger fish I have caught from there are usually really long but really skinny and unhealthy looking... Some idiot on the way out asked me why i didnt keep it because he was "hungry and woulda ate it." Piss off buddy.

You should have told him it is catch and release only in that place, so he'll stay away. _________________ Life's Short - Fish Hard - Take a Kid Fishing |

Do people really eat bass? I dont think I ever would, they're to fun to catch. Maybe tell those buckets dudes to only eat the pickeral...they taste way better...

I don't like bass very much, I have eaten a few many years back, but they're nothing special. Yellow perch and catfish are the best IMO. _________________ Yankees Suck!

Nice fish- too bad we didn't get out ah but there'll be another time.
As for the eating debate; catfish, crappies, and picks are good- not a fan of bass |
