My fishing buddy and I are seldom home at the same time, so we decided to make the best of easter break from college.... We hit the reservoir at ~10:00 am and stayed till around 12. It was about 35 degrees out, but the wind was swirling and made for a chilly windchill and quite unpleasantly cold hands....
Nothing doing for the first hour, missed a hookset on a small bite. My buddy pulled out a dink that was probably somewhere around a pound on a 5 inch watermelon senko from deep water (if you can call anything in that place deep). A lot of algae, plantlife starting to grow back, so the fish should be getting active soon! Good to get out for a little while even tho i got the skunk.

that place reminds me of a dying smoker choking for his last breath. PD, I love the res more than any one but that place needs to be addressed with a sturdy hand or you are going to see nothing left but a vernal pool.

Have you guys ever see the size of the Turtles in there? I hit one once with the trolling motor thinking it was a tire until it took off.
