I fish mine weightless and on 8lb fluorocarbon. The floro helps it sink a little faster and is nearly invisible.

I've tried braid with a fluoro leader and straight fluoro. Straight fluoro is great for clear water, but if there are heavy weeds or a lot of snags, I prefer straight braid. If I snag up with 50 pound test braid, I can straighten out my Gamakatsu Number 4 Octopus Circle hook to free the line. I hate break offs.

If you bend the hook and have to retie, it's almost the same thing isn't it?

Yeah, I usually don't wacky in heavy cover. In weeds or pads ill throw a Texas rig or jig on braid.

Straightening out the hook is the worst case scenario. I've pulled up trees and shipwrecks with 50 pound test Power Pro braid. Laughing

Guys, Guys, If fishing with rw al senkos use an o ring. The worms last a lot longer and I think if gives it vetter action. I have 10 or more bass on one senko using this method. I think putting a hook thru the middle takes away some of the action. They don't call me Billysenko for nothing.

This is what I use, bait lasts longer and I can realy toss it around docks and break walls with out damaging the bait. -Duncan

I use Yum Dingers in various lengths and colors. I always use 0-rings (which can be had very inexpensively on Amazon (010 EPDM O-Ring, 70A Durometer, Black, 1/4" ID, 3/8" OD, 1/16" Width (Pack of 100)"
Misc.; $7.47
. I rig these with no weight and a #1 circle hook. I can usually catch 5 or more bass before the bait is ruined. O-rings save $$$. Laughing I like to apply the rings to quite a few baits before I go out so I can rig a new one in 2 seconds.
