headed east out of G.I. launch for some night chunking. we shot straight for Cornfield where there were a few hundred terns working a massive stack of shad. They were bouncing off of the boat! we were able to land some with small kastmasters and kept them in the live well. we anchored up nearby and livelined losing a pig of a fish due to a barrel swivel that broke (third thing ive bought from Hillyer's this year that has broken on the job) managed to pick up some big blues on chunks of shad. biggest of the shad we landed was pushing 20" lots of fluke out here as well following the shad |

I haven't seen much shad the past few seasons, that is great news.
Sorry to hear the big one got away, tackle failure makes me crazy! |

Sounds like a fun experience...it must have been a crazy scene for a while. |
