Member Mikeyinstfd and I hit the usual golf course. Got there around 10:30am.

First as we walked by some ponds, we saw weeds thicker than normal. The first spot we were gonna hit was very weedy compared to what we'd normally see.

Headed right over to another pond I call the Large Pond. Mike played around with a silver Shallow Shad Rap SSR-7 while I played around with a perch Original Floater F-7. Bass were interested in topwater but were more cautious with the way they were hitting. Mike and I each lost a few on the jump.

I played around at some other parts of that pond while Mike stuck with the area he was in. After no luck with a shiner SSR-7, I switched over to a baby bass Tiny Torpedo.

While both of us were at a drop off along the Large Pond, Mike hit 2 bass and I caught 1 bluegill and 1 bass.

Once Mike switched over to a clown Thunderstick Jr, he was getting more attention. I decided to switch over to a firetiger F-7 which was working better.

We hit more areas of different ponds and Mike was still getting attention on the Thunderstick and lost a few and caught a few. Later I switched over to a 1/16oz white maribu and did a slow retrieve where I'd constantly twitch it under the surface.

Mike caught another 3 bass and I caught another 2 bass and 3 bluegills.

At one pond we saw a whole school of small bass but they weren't interested in much. Mike didn't have any luck with a spinner and I only had 1 hit a hot mustard muddler Flat Rap FLR-6 on the slow rise.

He heat was outdoing us so by 2pm we called it a day so we could get something to drink and cool off.

Total was Mike with 5 bass and me with 3 bass and 4 bluegills. Bass were you're usual golf course cookie cutters and the bluegills were the average aggressive 6" to 8". We lost just as many bass as we landed and had lots of hits on the surface.

all your posts about golf course fishing makes me want to fish Globe Hollow in Manchester, right on the Manchester Golf Course...I've only caught Pickerel there, big pickerel mind you, but the signs are misleading...some say no trespassing, yet some say no dogs and some say no swimming or boats. Rather safe than sorry though..i'd hate to get in trouble over a 2 foot pickerel...maybe....especially on 6lb test and no leader!! Ha ha!!! I just might sneak in!!
