Started off around 5pm at Twin Brooks Park Monday and stayed for no more than 2 hours.
I started with a perch Original Floater F-7 in the small hidden pond. Played topwater with it and has sunnies following it and nipping it. Lost a bass on the jump.
Moved over to the Pequonnock and lost a nice bluegill. Also lost a small bass on the jump there.
For the rest of the way, I never got into any bass or pickerel. F-7, SSR-7, and Tiny Torpedo all saw no attention other than the sunnies.
Later I went to the Wonderland of Ice and threw a hot mustard muddler Flat Rap FLR-6. With the Flat Rap being a slow riser, I played jerkbait with it. Sunnies and 1 crappie were the only ones paying attention to it.
Hit the road around 7:45pm |
