Hit Rainbow this morning from 7am to noonish. The temperature was perfect mid 60's then rose to the mid 70's...little to no wind. Water temperature was at about 72 degrees surface wise. Trolled around a good amount of the lake, I think this is my first actual time there this year (first time the gate was closed ). Ended the day with 3 smallies, 3 yellow perch, and 2 rock bass. Every single fish was below 12" which was a shame. Spoke to a couple guys on the water and they were having a tough time as well. I actually landed my personal worst smallie lol (I posted it in the General Topics section). It was a beautiful day today and the panfish bites were fun so I guess it wasn't a bad day. _________________ Steve |
