Like 98% sure this is my pb. This bass had to be pushing 6 pounds or more. I got it when I speed at a pond that connects to a golf course before I had to hook back to school for baseball. I had 45 minutes to kill so I killed them like this...with wacky tired senkos.

here are my two biggest fish including the pb which was about 18 19 inches using my sandle for a ruler.

thats a nice looking bass.

but you really should grab a digital scale. theyre not too expensive and they really are worth it.

its basically impossible to guess a fishes weight.

even if you use the online calculaters. the ole girth and length measurements are never accurate.

I have caught 19 inch bass that have weighed 2.5 pounds. It all depends of a lot of different factors. Belly filled or empty. scale thickness.. big head or small head.. and so on.

Im not gonna venture a guess. looks around 3 pounds but i can't really tell from a picture.

look at my post of the 5 pounder (exactly 5) that fish was over 24 inches. My friends 5.8 pounds was the same length but fatter.

grab a scale and in the mean time. dont be so worried about weights. thats a beauty no matter what the weight is.
good job

nice fish. Did you release it? looks like a female full of eggs.

try resizing your pics too, it will make them easier to see.

Ive caught some big fish at golf course ponds. I lived in Savannah for a summer and worked on a golf course. After hours, I would take the gator out and fish all the ponds.

The bass are huge down south. I would get all excited when I pulled in a 5lb + bass but my friends who lived down there say thats average!

I've found that, as a general rule, an average largemouth bass in Connecticut weighs one pound at 14 inches and gains 1/2 pound for each inch. So an average 18 inch largemouth bass would weigh three pounds and an average 19 inch largemouth bass would weigh 3-1/2 pounds. Some fish are skinnier and some fish are fatter than average. My Personal Best Connecticut largemouth bass was only 21 inches, but weighed six pounds, six ounces. She was a real fatty! Very Happy

It was probably more than 18 inches...ive caught digitally scaled 3 pounders and that was definitely more. I guess the length based on the sandle which I didn't measure till I gory home so its a super guesstimate. Here's a legit digital scale 3 pounder.

Your digital scale 3 pounder looks about right. Comparing it to the one you say is your new PB, I'd say your PB is somewhere between 4 and 5 pounds.

I def see a difference in fat and girth and also a few extra inches in length.

I agree with Michael. Based on visual evidence I'd say the new bass is about a pound better than the other 3lb bass.

Knowing my PB is 4.5 LB 20" bass i caught last month, I'd have to say yours isn't quite 4.5 but that's just based on what I see in a pic which could always be deceiving one way or the other. Nonetheless, congrats and great job! Keep fishing and the PB will keep growing Smile

PS hows your baseball coach like all the time you spend fishing?

In high school I played varsity lacrosse and busted my knee playing basketball and my coach made me carry equipment on Crutches for two months!

I've only almost been late because of baseball so far...haha but ya I think that bass if deff more of a 5er since the bass I related it too was a 6 pounder my friend caught a few years back and that was weighed on my spring scale do that coulda been a 5 pounder too. Which would explain my mistake.
