I found this spot this year, every time we go its really productive, and ive yet to catch a trout smaller than 12 in.nice salmon are common at this hole also, this is a average brown for this particular hole.nice and colorful, notice how yellow the bellys are on the holdover trout.

I will deff. post more trout reports, the trout fishing on the west branch of the farmington river is the spot,it is good all season long due to cold flowing water, most sections...if not all are c&r...barbless fishing, wich is why there are so many nice hold overs.I use 4lb test with a 5' rod.
(night crawlers with no weight)i think will give you the most success.and waders are a must for good trout fishing. _________________ riding down the river in an old conoe |

marc, i always use night crawlers w/out weight for trout.so i try not to fish fast water with rapids, there is always a pool somewhere where the rapids break. _________________ riding down the river in an old conoe |
