After fishing Bunnells Pond, I worked my way up to the upper part of Beardsley Park along the Pequonnock.
Stuck with the 7cm perch Original Floater and got a 10" rainbow on it. Had a few swirls while playing topwater with it in shallow areas.
I then headed down to the Wonderland of Ice and Glenwood Park.
When I hit my first spot, I was into those aggressive redbreasts. Just by doing a few little twitches and jerks on the surface, those redbreasts were going crazy for it. One even had the entire front treble in its mouth!
Also got a dinky largemouth.
After 4 redbreasts and that 1 largemouth, I moved over to the Chopsey Hill Rd bridge. That's where I decided to do some jigging with a 1/16oz white maribu.
For the 30 minutes I was at that spot doing the jigging and some retrieving, I hit a total of 4 rock bass and 3 crappie. Also lost 2 crappie.
Biggest crappie was 13" 14oz
One of the rock bass was a new PW which I'll put on the PW thread.
Hit the road around 8:30pm
I have a feeling that with some of the recent rains Bridgeport has had, there was a run off from Bunnells Pond. |
