I took the kids out today to fish the Terryville Fish & Game Club's private pond for their anual kid's fishing derby. A great time was had by all. Plenty of trout, pickerel and panfish were caught today. My sons were throwing trout worms under bobbers Smile

My youngest son caught a 6.5" bluegill

and my oldest caught a nice 11" black crappie

There were plenty of prizes. Everyone wins actually, but my younger son won a nice fishing pole...he is retiring the superman pole

and my older son got a tackle organizer and some tackle as well as a poncho for some rainy day fishing.

He also got to catch his own lunch

Beautiful weather and fishing with your kids...it doesn't get much better!!
