If your looking for a In Dash Nav, check out my review,
Ok, lets start by saying I was looking for a back up camera for my 09 Sierra, and a decent one would run around 2 bills, ( I’m not talking about one of the ones that have almost no image in the dark, or pick up other cameras signals at the worst possible times) having a screen bigger then a little neck clam, was also important. I already didn’t like having a gps stuck to my windshield, so adding another screen with a cord hanging over the dash, was not thrilling me. Then I found the Advent OGM-1.

I did my homework, and found that this unit would give me everything I was looking for, and more. So why not go with the factory unit?? Gm part 25966513 $1549.33 plus shipping from gm outlets, but doesent come even close to all the features of the Advent OGM-1, and no customer support or service!!!!

I Got my unit from Walt at ADC MOBILE, all I can say is Walt is the best, he answered all my emails while I was deciding which way I wanted to go, with no pressure to buy. The unit is so easy to install, true plug and play, the only wires I had to hook up, were, one wire to after ign. Hot+, and two wires to ground - , that’s it for real, every other connection was from harness to harness…no bull shirt!!! Walt has videos that show you where everything is, and how to gain access to it.

After I had my unit in, I fired it up to test before buttoning up the dash (as Walt suggest), my unit would not retain presets, the xm would not come in, and the nav would not load. I sent Walt an email, would you believe I had an answer in less then 5 minutes????? Try calling some automated customer service, from some stereo gypsy on the net, and see if you can even get through all the; press 2 for English, 4 for service, yada yada yada, in less then 5 minutes!!! After a system reset, and changing how the nav loaded, it has been just perfect!!!!

Oh and the back up tailgate camera that Walt has is also great, during the day it like HD, and with just a small amount of light at night its still pretty clear. Ty wiring the cable along the frame was the hardest part of the entire install!!!

I don’t work for Walt or ADC, or Advent, hell I’m on the other coast, but his Service is unmatchable, I truly feel like I met a friend, rather then a stereo supplier. I’m sure if you choose Walt for you purchase, you will not have any regrets.
