NEW STATE RECORD - FALLFISH

A new state record fallfish was caught by Chad Tessmann of New Britain, CT on May 12th, 2012 in the Simsbury area of the Farmington River. The 2.25 lb. fish responded to a spinner fished during the day. The official measurement put the fish on the boards at 18.5 inches in length with a 9.5 inch girth making it the most memorable reported fallfish caught by any Connecticut angler.
Congratulations Chad!

I believe it. There are some big fallfish up there. I have caught some that I initially thought were small bass until I got them above water. I think the largest I caught was around 16" or so.
