Got out for a few hours this afternoon,..saw a few fish busting the surface but no takers for quite a while. Tried Houdini's, surface plugs and swimbaits,....then finally got one on a bucktail jig! 34",..fat and spunky,...real nice fight! Woohoo,..my first keeper of 2012!!

Nice, doid that thing pull you around on the yak? I plan on doing a little striper yak fishing and wondering if that or hopefully a bigger one is going to drag my arse up the housy and out to sea!!! LOL _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

LOL | They pull you a little bit,..but I'm fishing with 65# braid with a 30# leader,.so I can pretty much still muscle them in at this size (~15lbs). Once they get 40" and up (25+ lbs) is when it gets exciting,... since they can go basically wherever they want and you are pretty much just along for the ride until they tire a bit! _________________ "If people concentrated more on the really important things in life there'd be a shortage of fishing poles."
