my wife and I walked the trail behind Cheney tech/ east catholic which leads to the exit 60 bridge... we stopped and I fished there for about 15 minutes, caught a rainbow trout, about 12 inches on a silver inline spinner. Also caught a frog, my wife helped get the frog off the bait. Nice day for a walk and a fish!

He didn't say that he kept it. There are many catch and release waters prior to opening day.

for the hundredth millionth time on this board...i've learned, others need to learn READ YOUR CT ANGLERS GUIDE (or check with peco) BEFORE REPLYING :"trout season isn't open...." "its illegal.."..."blah blah blah..."

It's very clear on the portion of the hockanum river where i fish....fishing is legal year round and it is catch and release!. Aye caramba...it was a very nice trout btw.. and a nice walk, the frog was caught because the my first trout threw the lure to the bank and it snagged a frog.... my wife also saw a baby snake and a turtle.
