are there any good places to catch a few carp in windam county? Not looking to travel very far gas is way to much lol. Any pointers on catching them I never fished for them. More of a catfish person[/quote] |

Most of the local rivers have good populations of carp. Try some of the slower moving sections and/or ponds located along the French river, Quinebaug river, etc. I’ve had good luck in the past with balled up white bread for bait. Haven’t really tried for them yet this year, but I saw some big ones while kayaking the Quinebaug earlier this spring.] _________________ PB's:
