After getting home from a short fishing trip with a buddy, I checked the radar and then saw it was ok to fish the area before heading home later.
I fished the lower tidal freshwater area of the Pequonnock in Bridgeport. Nothing was interested in lures so I threw worms out there. Nothing hit worms in the main flow area.
I was suspicious about if the fish could still be in their winter area so I dropped the worm down underneath the Chopsey Hill Rd bridge. That's where I caught a dinky yellow, small redbreast, and short eel.
Just after 4pm a light drizzle started so I headed home. Didn't get stuck in any downpour or steady rain on the way home. |
