Western ct lakes this week were tight lipped. found a few here and there, but the 15-20 fish days were not in the cards from monday until this am. 5 fish was a decent day this week, with largemouths topping out at 4 pounds on some chatterbaits rolled over mid sized gravel.
found SOME fish relating to wood, a single jig bass and a handfull of spinnerbait fish, but over all a head scratcher on 3 different large water bodies.
crappies were active everywhere, and provided some of my students and thier families alot of smiles and some decent eats early in the week when i took them out.
hope your opening day weekend goes well. dont let the weather scare you away.
