Wade (Fishfinder) and I hit a local golf course Saturday for about 3 hours.

We moved around to a few ponds and saw bluegills stacked up but bass not too active.

Wade was hitting the bluegills and pumpkinseeds pretty well with nightcrawlers and also got a bass with one. He also hit another cookie cutter with a shallow plug.

I played around with a few lures and found the fish to be more interested in a 6cm Husky Jerk. Later I found that there was a certain retrieve they were looking for. Once I gave the Husky Jerk some extra aggression with a few pauses, they'd hit it more often and chase it all the way.

Wade caught over 10 bluegills and pumpkinseeds combined and 2 cookie cutter bass while I got 2 cookie cutter bass and 4 bluegills.

Yeah, I think I need to switch usernames with Bluegill terminator! LOL Weird, I put a little weight on and cast out a little further and not a bite, take that weight off and couldnt get past them sunnies. Throwing lures out all day tears my back up as Michael seen this time, didnt take my usual amount and I had to sit it out for awhile. Good lord Michael, now everyone knows my name here and Ill have to go into hiding! LOL

LOL

Those bluegills and pumpkinseeds at all the ponds on that golf course give you a fight for their size!
