Hi
Well got done with some chores and broke out my Fly Fishing gear.
Hit the west branch of the Farmington Rver north of the old Hitchcock factory.
Fished from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM
Brrrrrrrrrrr! River was cold even with heavy warm gear under my waders.
Air temp though got up to 71 F. and hardly any wind.
Fishing was a bit slow but the fish were of 1st quality.
Score for the day -> 2 Browns (1 easily 20 inches) and 2 Rainbows (Each around 16 in. and real jumpers).
All caught on a Nine Three streamer #6 hook.
Thunder storms predicted never materialized.
Great day to be out -> Sun felt good all day !
2 days of warm Wx so I think I might try for some Crappies tomorrow at West Twin (where I have permission to launch) as the spawning shallows should be much warmer.
Hope to get into some of those monster slab Crappies there!
