Thursday I started off by hitting one of my usual local ponds. Saw plenty of bluegills swimming around and stacked up in the coves.
Rapalas didn't seem to be working so I threw a white maribu. Had bluegills looking at it but only 1 hit it. Also missed out on a nice 3 pound bass with it.
I then switched over to a Texas rigged Senko. Had 2 bass grab it but never set the hook on them. Before leaving I played with a size 4 hot mustard muddler Rapala X-Rap where I saw a bass and caught a 10"er.
Later I headed over to Twin Brooks Park where I stuck with a new size 7 firetiger Original Floater. Hit all of the areas that have been producing for me recently and all in 1 spot I caught a chubby 8" 3/4 pound yellow perch and a 10" largemouth. |
