Is there any ice on beseck in middlefield, black pond in meriden or cedar lake or pattaconk lake and how many inches looking to get out this weekend

Yo Noob!
Forget all those waters you just named after this rain + warmer temps 
You've got to look for waters further "NORTH"  -> way way above route I-84!
That means "Road Trip" of an hour or more!
Winchester had about 9" of ice today but the fishing was Slow Slow Slooooooooow!
Finding decent ice (4" and above) is getting to be a real chore even for us regular ice fishers
