Can someone tell me if there is a difference between an ice ducer and a soft water ducer? I know the ice one is weighted but I can get around that. Thanks |

There really is no difference as far as I know. I use two graphs, one is a soft water ducer adapted for using thru the ice and the other is an ice ducer. They are essentially the same thing. You just have to figure out a way to get the soft water transducer to hang down the hole perfectly vertically. The ice ones are weighted so that when you drop it down, it hangs balanced but my humminbird portable I have to rig a certain way so that it gets a vertical reading. |

Hi jon,
EASY Transducer holder!
Use an old tip up (remove spool) or broom handle (with additional cross bars) and plastic wire tie the transducer to it. -> Tape trans. wire to vertical part.
Transducer will hang in the hole (in water) in proper position.
