with the long weekend ,nice weather and still open water i figured i'd try to catch a bass.just 1 would be cool and the mission would be accomplished.went out sat.. got 2 bites on a jig and caught 1@2lbs and missed the other.
went back sunday and caught 7 on a jerkbait with the biggest being a 5.2 largemouth.i had to focus on what i was doing and fish very slow.long pauses on the jerkbait.fish were caught between noon and 3pm in abot 4-6' of water. i fished out of my tin can and on the wind blown side of the pond.dressing warm and keeping your hands dry is a must.so if there's open water give it a shot .i'm glad i did. |

Wow great report! Looks like the ice is holding off this year a while longer. A 5.2 on a Jerkbait is amazing! Where were you fishing if you don't mind me asking? _________________ Fish. Every. Day. |

Well done! On a jerkbait huh? That's pretty shallow for these bass to be metabolized. You must have picked the right day _________________ See you on the river! |
