Headed out to the Housy on Sunday morning in search of schoolie stripers. It was a cold start to the morning. We headed down river to the 95 bridge. It look a little searching but we finally found them stacked up pretty thick. They were active too. My buddy probably caught 10 fish before my first. We were using the exact same setups and fishing the same place. After that annoying start I started catching them. I probably got 20 or so and my buddy got 30. I did how ever get the largest one. We did not have a ruler with us but if it wasn't a keeper, it was very close. Fun way to spend a chilly morning. Once the sun came up it was not bad. We fished from 6:00 am until 11:30 or so. All the fish we caught on the out-going tide. Can't wait to get back out there.
Here is the picture of the largest of the day...
See below for the picture. I have to post 2 more times!!! |

I took off from work on friday and fished the hopusy. Started at the dam - nothing. Moved down to Smith's Point in Milford - nothing. Both spots on the outgoing tide. Finished off at bond's dock and caught 4 schoolies using bunker chunks on the incoming tide. Still better than working. |

I agree, much better then working. We launched at Sunny Side park and worked our way down. We didn't mark any fishing until we got to 95. We talked to another guy who fished up near the dam and he didn't get anything. It will probably be a few more weeks before they make it up that far. |

I hit the dam sunday night and nothing also. Moved down to under the Comm. bridge and caught a 10 lb catfish. Havent been to Bonds or Birdseye since summer so will have to check them out again. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....
