i just acquired a new boat - i have been fish for years in NYC res. and go to maine - i have a couple of options for the boat (1) keep it at the town marina on lake zoar (2) keep it at a friends house on lilli - the town marina option is a very easy to get option - the lili option will be a bit of a hike! (i have heard good and bad things about zoar) -- what would you do? |

rvolkers,, why would you keep the boat in CT??? I would personally keep the boat at a friends house,, Zoar and Lilly really arent that far apart,, I would think keeping the boat at a marina would be very costly compared to keeping it at a friends house,, Zoar has its time,, so does Lilly,, actually all bodies of water can suck at times,,but they can also be great,, its all up to you,,good luck |

i live in newtown - i have row boats on the ny res - the boat i just got is a bass tracker - newtown has a town marina on zoar! and as a resident is is a very fair price for the season! either spots (lili or zoar) are 5 mins from my house - the marina is VERY EASY to get to! - my friends house (lili) is upand down a hill and a hike with equipment! I wish i knew more about zoar? -- BUT I HAVE BEEN FISHING for MANY years - so i sure i can figure either out! |

Personally, if the marina thing is reasonably priced and an easy to get to thing, I'd do the marina for a season, you have a better option of putting in and taking out whenever you like. I've just moved to Ct, and haven't fished either lake, but I've looked into houses on Zoar, and we're very interested in buying there in the future, it's on our list anyhow. good luck. |
