Hi,

I have fished there several times and it can be a good place for SMB. I personally think its a good spot for yellow perch too. Just keep in mind that on the DEP Fishing Report this week there was the following advisory..

"RAINBOW RESERVOIR is currently in the process of refilling and is expected to be at typical operating levels for the weekend. Boaters are advised that there is significant floating debris."

I know there have been times where it was drained and fishing has suffered. If you arent too far its worth a shot to check out for sure.

If you think the fishing suffers, then you probably dont fish it much around the times of the drawdowns... Wink

I actually have never been there with the drawn down. I have just read on multiple posts on here from others that it has.

I would assume its good since there is less water and more fish, I just read that it hasnt recovered so well after they drained it down to make repairs a couple years ago.
