Yet another day out on Raymonds. My partner and I hit the pond at about 5:30 this afternoon. We launched the canoe and began to head down the East side of the pond. My partner hit the first LMB within a minute or so with me following a minute or so later. Both were in the 1 lb range ,as most of the fish for the day would be. we worked up the shore hitting every fifth cast or so until we got to the South East corner of the pond where the action got nice. We had pulled in a few nicer size LMB and worked along the south end of the pond with a few more in the boat. As we made our way up the West side of the pond the action lulled, typical....
We came around the point to "Ziga's Cove" as immediately starting hitting some LMB in the 1 - 1.5 lb range. We hung here for a bit annd headed across to work the North West corner and come across the North side of the pond. This has usually been a fairly active area but tonight was off the chart!!!
We were pulliing in LMB on cast after ast, it was crazy! While we were working the north side I hooked this guy. He was about 31/2 lbs and put up a terrific fight!
We pulled the canoe out of the water at about 7:45. In 2:15 of fishing my partner and I put 75 LMB into the boat. He topped me with 38 but I got bragging right with the big fish of the day.
This was one of the most fun times I have ever had in this pond!

Awesome Day!
Zoom's Pumpkin color seems to outperform a lot of other brands pumpkins IMO. I like the Fat Albert Grub they make in that color too! Don't think I have ever slaughtered them like you did with em, but man great job! _________________ Never give up! |
