Fished a beach in the fairfield area that i was asked not to divulge. I will tell you that it's the same as any other beach near a creek outflow. If you have any sand flats in your area get out there at night on the incoming tide. Got 3 bass tonight. 1 24" on a Baby Bluefish Bomber, 1 28" on my 3" sluggo teaser and 1 36" on the bomber. Fish are coming into the shallows with the incoming tide at night when the water is cooler to feed. Go catch some.

as long as you don't mind waiting for the incoming tide, you should catch 1. Gonna be a late night

Do you think that an incoming tide in the day/evening can be productive this time of year?

Im surely no expert, heck I havent even caught any yet as I just started right when striper run ended but as an avid freshwater fisher I know that cooler water is KEY. When you are at work in sweltering temps do you feel like eating or even working?

I would give it a shot , especially if it's overcast. The problem is from the sun heating up the shallow waters all day. Incoming tide first thing in the morning would probably be the best if you want to fish in the light.

After seeing this 1 hit and break surface, i really believe the 1 swimming around with fish finders rod must be at least 20lbs.
