Anyone planning on fishing next Friday for the full moon? My buddy and I are planning to head out off Branford that evening (go to Faulkner's, the Beacon, possibly 6 mile reef depending on weather).
Anybody fish these areas on a full moon? Tips on which tides produce best for these areas? Thanks, and hopefully we'll see some others out there! |

Hope you do well. I may pull an all nighter myself from the surf. |

Well I fished Gulf beach this morning from 3 am -7am with not a freakin bite (story of my life this tear with saltwater) I threw everything at them, poppers, swimmers both hard and soft. mackerel, squid, bunker, eels. _________________ There's a fine line between fishing....

Mixed results for us. On our way out around 7:30 we found some birds working a rip, we were pretty successful catching 8-9 bluefish using light colored jigs on spinning rods. Once the sun went down though, so did the bite. Drifted over southwest reef, near the thimble islands, and the beacon, not a single bite unfortunately. |
