While searching to see whether I have to display my Massachusetts fishing license (I don't), I came across the following on the Massachusetts Department of Fish & Game website:
Quote: | Marine Fisheries' Recreational Saltwater Fishing Permit Questions
Who needs the Massachusetts Recreational Saltwater Fishing Permit?
In order to fish recreationally for finfish in Massachusetts marine waters, including up to the first dam in rivers and streams that flow to the ocean (click here for exceptions to the rule), saltwater fishermen must have:
◦A Massachusetts Recreational Saltwater Fishing permit, or
◦A recreational saltwater fishing permit from a state that has a reciprocity agreement with Massachusetts
As of February 17, 2011, Massachusetts has reciprocity agreements with:
◦New Hampshire: MA to NH, NH to MA
◦Rhode Island: MA to RI, RI to MA
◦Connecticut: MA to CT, CT to MA
|
You can save your money if you plan to fish in Massachusetts' marine waters and have a Connecticut Marine or All Waters fishing license. _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

Ugh...marine waters. I need a break on inland. $37.50/$23.50 (3-day) for non-resident.
However...licenses are free for "intellectually disabled" Massachusetts residents so maybe I'll just move there for a few days. _________________ Kira

You could always purchase your license online and forego the price increase for non-resident, but not sure how kosher that would be if you don't live in mass.
Does anyone do any saltwater fishing in Ma? _________________ "Come after Me, and i will make you to become fishers of men"
