Have been fishing local lakes and ponds in the Suffield, Granby, West Suffield, Hartland area. Killing it this year!

I would have to agree as well. I also saw on the last CT DEP fishing report the LMB are slow to spawn this year due possibly to the colder weather. Only males have been reported moving up.

It really depends on which lakes and ponds you are at. In ponds, the spawn is over and the post spawn is slow right now, but will pick up. In lakes and bigger bodies of water the bass are moving into their beds as we speak. Smallies in river systems are on fire right now especially in the backwater and skinny water shelters of tributaries. They're there, and they're big..........Get on em!

After Sunday's total of 47 largemouth bass, today's 15 wasn't a lot, but it was just as much fun. In fact, the fish were feistier today than they were on Sunday. However, I'm ready to start trading numbers for size. The biggest one that I got today was probably 1-1/2 pounds; I didn't bother to pull out the scale for any of 'em.

Hey what do you guys have for kayaks? I just did some modifications to mine and absolutely love it. I take it to all the hard to get to spots and slay it. Nothing beats getting in spots with a foot of water and muscling the fish through the weeds!
