Just a good ole southern boy from louisiana looking for honey hole to fish for some largemouth bass. Anyone have some pointers? What they hitting on?? Also, hows the bass fishing around here without a boat. I live in Stamford but willing to make the drive for a good spot!! |

Go striper fishing instead if you live in stamford. Cove island at the overflow is good. |

Candlewood lake is about 35 - 45 minutes from you. It's the largest man made lake in the north east (13 miles long covering 5 or 6 towns!). If you like huge Smallies big Largemouth and great Perch and Trout fishing this is where it's at! If you want Walleye they are right next on the other side of the causeway in Squantz Pond (New Fairfield). You can fish from shore on both sides of the causeway and catchh Smallmouth and Walleye!
