Really?! Up the Farmington or at the mouth? Was thinking of headed there after work today or tomorrow and doing the same thing. _________________ Fish. Every. Day. |

Closer to the Reservoir than to the mouth. I fish from shore, or with chest waders, depending on flows, and which spots I'm fishing. |

Yea I've got some chest waders as well. Never really fished below the dam, therefore I don.t really know where I'm going. What length rod were you using? 7ft, 9ft? And what Lb test line? I def wanna get out there _________________ Fish. Every. Day. |

I use a 7'-6" rod with either 15lb fluoro or 30lb braid depending how and where I fish. No need for a 9' rod unless the action is similar to that of a Salmon/ Steelhead rod. Not to mention, unless you can get out into the river with waders, you will not be able to cast from most spots on shore. |
