First off I am a new member so I hope I can contribute to the forum, but am not new to fishing at all. I went to Shadow Lake a few days ago in Ridgefield and saw around 5 or 6 17"+ LMB hanging around the shoreline. I managed to finally get one of them using a plasic worm with a weedless hook (its the fish in my profile pic). I've fished this lake for a few years now and have noticed that early spring always delivers while later in the year it slows down. The island in the middle has a lot of good structure for the bass, and I've a few nice sized ones there in the past. So thought I'd contribute to the discussion and let you all know I'll willing to go anywhere the fish are! |

Welcome to the site. Do you ever get out onto the water to fish or do you stick to the shore? _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

I've been looking for a small aluminum boat, but mainly I've been going off of the shore. I just got back from a fishing trip at Pymatuning Lake in western Pa and we fished off of my buddies 15 footer. I caught a 39" musky too! |

Yep you can definately put a row boat out there. There's a few spots that are easier to get to from a boat, but I don't have one haha. Ive caught my biggest bass there when it's overcast early in the morning and spot-casting when it's bright out. |

I have a customer that bought a lot of 16 boats at an auction from the DEP in Mahopac NY. He live right off the Ludington Rd exit off of 84 (I think it's exit 16). They are 10" - 16" flat and V-Hull. lemme know if yer interested. It's like 15 minutes from Ridgfield. _________________ Oh man... you got Onzo'd! |
