I'd be out on the water even with the snow falling if it weren't for the wind! I hate the freakin' 10+ mile per hour wind! _________________ Don't forget to wear sunscreen and don't litter! |

This weekend is looking somewhat warmer with highs around 50 and some sun. I've been a bit hesitant to take out the yak for the first time since the water will still be so cold and I'm guessing even in my sit in I'm bound to get wet. What are everyone's limits for temperatures for getting out? Any specific clothing I should consider investing in to get around this issue?Or as a backup any suggestions for shore fishing near West Hartford? |

Hi!
This is what everyone should know about water temperature and Hypothermia
NOTE: Cotton is the Death fiber -> WOOL will keep you warm even if wet
(That's why mariners wear wool at sea.)
When boating in cold water -> Have your PFD on or close by for immediate use
