Got out today. I wanted to hit cwood but, got the word its dead. I scratched that idea. I tried to hit mohawk pond. No go could not get in with my focus. So I went to Winchester. I arrived to find one small group just setting up close to the launch. Plenty of ICE.. Walked to the first cove and started. Got a few on a marmuska jig tipped with spikes. Fished it till 4 o clock and called it quiets. I caught three small fish. It was still fun.

Nice job getting out there and catching something. I went out to a local pond on Saturday with Jon (Jonnyfly00) and his girlfriend and we got skunked. No signs of anything. The fishing seems to be getting tougher through the ice right now.
Yeap! depending upon the water/depth/conditions -> We're into that Mid-Winter slow down period
Too much snow and thicker ice cover -> No photosynthesis going on -> O2 levels have dropped significantly -> fish are legarthic and their metablisim slowed due to cold so not feeding.
It's down size time on live bait and jigs for most fish except Pike
